Paul R. Pearson, Esq.
Mr. Pearson was born in Takoma Park, Maryland on February 28, 1948. He graduated from the University of Maryland in 1972 with an undergraduate degree in Sociology and obtained his Law Degree, with honors, from George Mason University School of Law in 1979. He also served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army Special Forces Reserve (11th Special Forces Group, Airborne) from 1966 to 1973.
While in private practice for 22 years, Mr. Pearson concentrated his practice of law in civil litigation in State and Federal Courts in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. The emphasis of his practice has been in personal injury litigation both on behalf of injure plaintiffs and later concentrating on defense litigation on behalf of insurance companies, corporate clients, and individuals. Mr. Pearson's trial experience includes cases involving products liability, personal injury, medical malpractice, automobile accidents, false arrest, malicious prosecution, construction and contract litigation, and other commercial disputes. Mr. Pearson was "designated counsel" for Borg-Warner Security Corporation, an international company with divisions including private security, courier, armored car service, and fire and burglar alarm services.
Paul joined Travelers staff counsel office in October, 2001, and as Practice Group Leader was in charge of major cases. Paul handled numerous cases of significant value in civil litigation, including several death and serious injury cases.
He is a member of the Virginia State Bar, Maryland State Bar Association, and the District of Columbia Bar Association. Mr. Pearson is rated "a-v" by Martindale-Hubbell.
